AI search across two merged telecom brands

An embedding pipeline normalising rewards, campaigns and lifestyle packages from two brands into a single vector space on Vertex AI, served by a hybrid retrieval service behind the application's global search.

Embedding models were benchmarked against a ground-truth evaluation set before selection rather than chosen by reputation. Inference cost is held down by caching frequent queries and re-embedding a document only when its content hash changes.

A trilingual voice-avatar sales agent, grounded so it cannot improvise a number

A real-time avatar that sells in Thai, English and Bangla, pairing an ElevenLabs conversational agent with a HeyGen LiveAvatar session over LiveKit. Built for a live storefront demonstration at Techsauce Global Summit 2026 in Bangkok.

• Grounded, not improvised. The agent may not state a discount it did not receive from a tool call. A single server-side engine is the only place a number is produced, so what the avatar says always matches what the screen shows
• Interface tool calls travel over the already-open LiveKit data channel rather than webhooks, so there is no public inbound URL to expose and the demo survives venue wifi
• Two listeners split by trust: a local-only port holding consent-gated lead data, and a read-only, token-authenticated port with no write endpoints as the only externally reachable surface
• System prompt, client-tool definitions and the RAG knowledge base are generated from one validated catalogue, so storefront, prompt and retrieval cannot drift apart
• The same catalogue is served as an MCP server over Streamable HTTP, so ChatGPT or any MCP host can browse it and hand a finished basket back to the storefront
• The streaming session is created on visitor interaction rather than page load, so an idle kiosk costs nothing

My Robi and My Airtel, rebuilt from a monolith out of room

End-to-end backend architecture and system design for the self-care applications of Bangladesh's second largest mobile operator. Two consumer brands, two app-store products, one shared backend.

• Designed to a client-set p95 under 200 ms, replacing a Ruby on Rails monolith that had exhausted vertical scaling
• Infrastructure cut to roughly one third by consolidating 12 microservices onto shared database and Redis clusters, trading database-per-service purity for viability in a fixed-capacity data centre
• Live users migrated with no forced app update and no downtime, via a lazy read-through backfill that provisioned each profile from the old system on first arrival
• MVP delivered in 5 months, at feature parity with an application built over 6 years

Eagle, and selling through a national internet shutdown

Consolidation of the operator's distribution channel onto one platform, with a registration service the rest of the business then adopted.

• 4 separate channel applications consolidated into 1 platform, serving over 20 distinct roles across retailers, field sales and internal staff
• E-CAF, a SIM-registration microservice with third-party NRIC identity verification, later adopted as the registration path by every other channel including the operator's website and consumer app
• Eagle Lite: encrypted two-way SMS as a transport, bridged to backend APIs by purpose-built middleware, keeping recharge and balance transfer working with no connectivity
• Also direct the team running ATOM Store, the operator's consumer self-care application

dtac Lite, then the native dtac App

Led dtac Lite as Team Lead and then the native application: a progressive web app extending reach to low-end devices and to users unwilling to install anything, with offline support and add-to-home-screen.

Delivered for a process-oriented Thai operator from Dhaka through COVID, assembling one coherent requirement from several product owners by moving design discussion onto diagrams across a language and organisational boundary.

MyGP, and the payment paths underneath it

Delivered MyGP for the largest mobile operator in Bangladesh, serving 5 million active users, together with payment gateway integrations across telecom client applications covering the local providers and their reconciliation and failure handling.

• Traced recurring peak-hour outages to a 1 MB API response saturating a 1 Gbps on-premise link at roughly 125 requests per second, and removed the failure class by moving the payload to client-side storage invalidated by content hash

APAMS, performance management for an eight-level hierarchy

Rebuilt the Annual Performance Agreement Management System: performance targets cascading down an eight-level government hierarchy with sum constraints at every tier, and quarterly evidence-backed achievement rolled back up. Led a team of five to seven and migrated the previous system's data.
